When and where will EUROAVIA Symposium Izmir be held?
The symposium will take place in May 2025 at Izmir University of Economics, Balçova district of Izmir. Participants whose applications are approved are required to come to Izmir, Türkiye.
Will only conferences be organised during the event?
No, the symposium does not only consist of conferences. Each day, specialists will make presentations in speeches consisting of 3-4 sessions. In addition, workshops will be organised to provide interactive experiences for the participants. In the afternoon, city tours will be organised to get to know Izmir better. In addition, EUROAVIA’s traditional social events such as ‘Spirits Night’ and ‘Final Dinner’ will also take place in the programme.
What is the main theme of the symposium?
The main theme of the symposium is ‘Sustainability for the Future’. In this context, topics such as the role of aviation in the climate crisis, sustainable aviation fuels (SAF), the potential use of green hydrogen in the sector and the revolutionary contributions of artificial intelligence in sustainability will be discussed.
Are accommodation facilities provided?
Yes, EUROAVIA members will be provided with accommodation for 4 nights and 5 days, morning-lunch- evening meals and urban transport costs.
